Yashaswini
Hi, I’m Yashaswini, a final-year student at Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, pursuing an Integrated Masters in Electrical Engineering (BTech) and Machine Learning and Signal Processing (MTech).
My research lies at the intersection of Deep Learning, Computational Neuroscience, and Signal Processing, focusing on how neuroscience can inspire advancements in deep learning.
Currently, I’m interning at TU Eindhoven in the NeurAI lab under Dr. Bahram Zonooz and Dr. Elahe Arani, developing neuroscience-inspired models for continual learning. My Masters thesis, guided by Dr. Sanjay Ghosh, investigates Functional Connectome-based Brain Fingerprinting. My Bachelors thesis, titled “Emergence of Auditory Receptive Fields based on Surprise at Multiple Timescales,” was guided by Dr. Sharba Bandyopadhyay.
